Draconian Tides pt2

The door  opened and my mom walked through saying "Did you fini.." she stopped when she saw me and I could tell she was going to freak out. I tried to think of something I could say to her to calm her down but the best I could come up with was a simple and sheepish "Hi". Not my smartest idea as when I said that, she immediately jumped out of her skin and ran downstairs for the phone. I followed her down to see her trying to dial for help, from who though, I don't know. I grabbed the phone from her and said "Mom, it's me, Aaron"

She looked at me and I could see that she finally recognized me. She asked "What happened to you?"

"I don't know, but it's awesome."

She asked "Does anyone else know about this?"  I assured her that the transformation had only just occurred and she was the only one who knew.  

My aunt and grandmother were downstairs looking up at me with shocked faces, but I was smiling like an idiot. I knew that this could very well be the greatest thing ever.

I went back up to my room, wondering why I had become a dragon, was there some significant reasoning to it or was it just random. I thought about it for a long time but I couldn't bring a decent idea to mind.  Oh well, I thought, and relaxed for a bit. While I was relaxing, I decided to use my iPod for a while but when I went to grab it, it shocked me. It didn't surprise me, my iPod always shocked me when it was plugged in. What did surprise me was that instead of hurting, the shock felt awesome and I suddenly wanted more. I looked at my tail and wings and saw a small horn on the tip of each of them, almost like a lightning rod.  I took a wild shot and put the tip of my tail into a nearby electrical socket. When the electricity began to course through my body, it felt incredible, I never wanted it to end, but it had to since I noticed I was draining too much electricity from the house. I realized that I held the element of electricity.  I had known for a long time that some dragons used other elements besides fire, I never realized that I would be one though. I walked out of my room to explain to my parents what had happened with the electricity and tell them my discovery. When I looked in the mirror, I saw my horns and spines had an arch of electricity going between them. I still had some electricity in my body and I looked somewhat bloated in the mirror, my stomach was a bit bigger than it had been and my scales were glowing an iridescent blue, it looked strangely beautiful, the blue glow against the yellow scales, and I couldn't help staring for a bit.


I went downstairs and sat down on the floor to explain things to my parents.

I said "Everyone, as it turns out, I'm an electricity dragon. I figured that out a little earlier."

My mom said "Well, that explains why the lights began to flicker earlier."

I gave a sheepish look and said "Yea, sorry about that, it felt great to have all that electricity though".

I stood up and went to watch TV. While channel surfing I found more stories about the kids who looked like dragons. The final kid had changed, though he looked very different from the others. I shut off the TV and had dinner then started to play some video games. While I was playing, I had a lot of trouble because my claws kept getting in the way. I was also getting my butt kicked at CoD. Eventually I was so ticked I was about to shut off the game in mid match when suddenly everything took on a yellowish-orange tint, everything seemed to move slower and when I was playing it seemed to move so slow that I was able to hit people before they could even pull the trigger. After a few minutes it ended, but by then I had managed to rack up many more points. When the match ended, I shut down the console and tried to figure out what had happened. I figured it was an adrenaline rush of some kind, brought on by my anger at the game.


Before I could think on it anymore I looked at the time and saw it was 9:00, I rushed up and took my shower, the electricity in my body coursing through the water when it touched me felt incredible. When I finished I climbed into bed and fell asleep. Later that night I woke up and everything had a yellow tint to it again, but when I went to my window, there was no storm. I figured I may have this dream for a while and just climbed back into bed and fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning, but when I looked at myself, I was no longer a dragon, I did a quick check to make sure I wasn't dreaming and when I found that out, I was disappointed. Maybe my being a dragon was the dream. I stood up and went to the bathroom and began to get ready to leave. After I had gotten dressed, I looked back at the electrical socket I had put my tail in. I decided to put my finger in it to see what happened, I knew it was dangerous, but my mind was strangely drawn to the idea. I put my finger near it when an arch of electricity jumped out and hit my finger. It didn't hurt and I watched as the scales began to grow back, only much quicker, and I was back in dragon form once again after only a few seconds. I rejoiced at the fact that I was still a dragon and finished getting ready. I looked over myself and knew that going as a dragon would freak everyone out, I didn't know how to change back though. On a guess and trying something I had seen on DA, I closed my eyes and focused on what I looked like as a human and when I opened my eyes, I was back to normal. "That was easy," I said and left the house to head to school.

When I got there I went to my classroom and sat next to Will. He turned to me and said the one thing I never expected. "Hey man, remember the dream you told me about, I had one just like it last night."

I looked at him and thought to myself "Oh crap, I hope that doesn't mean what I think it does," I asked "Really, what was yours about?"

"Well, it played out like yours except that it was raining instead of lightning and everything was blue."

I wondered if the style of the storm had anything to do with the transformation, if he became a water dragon then yes it would.

I said "Hey man, I have something I need to show and tell you later."

"What?"

"Later, at break."
